About the role:

As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will be an individual contributor that is proficient in applying established standards; knowledge base acquired from several years of experience in the field and expected to work independently.

You will report to the Manager of Operating Plants Electrical Engineering. You will work hybrid at the manager's discretion based in Columbia, SC. No relocation provided. We can consider candidates able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Support upgrade projects involving I&C and power activities.

  • Implement rapid response plant modifications from the design phase through installation and startup.

  • Perform engineering design and analysis and propose solutions to complex problems that are not well defined.

  • Coordinate the efforts of designers and create personnel during implementation of projects.

  • Create project schedules and budgets. Track progress and spending.

  • Develop scopes of work and bid packages.

  • Support and work with other plant groups including Operations, Maintenance, Work Management and Reliability Engineering.

  • Participate in hazard and safety analysis reviews

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

  • Experience in I&C & Electrical Power including:

    • Motor Control Centers

    • General power layout for I&C cabinets

    • NEC knowledge

    • Allen Bradley – Rockwell PLC Software

    • Instrumentation and transmitters

    • Modbus/Profibus

    • Specify equipment independently from vendors
