Industrial Engineering Intern Summer 2025

Our Digital & Innovation business is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern for its Research & Development (R&D) Center located in Churchill, Pennsylvania. The Churchill R&D Center is the premier nuclear research and testing facility supporting the nuclear industry through advanced technologies and innovative solutions.

In this position, the Industrial Engineering Intern will partner with site leadership to drive improvements to the flow of work through the different work cells.   The planned work will consist of two focused improvement projects as well as participation in other initiatives that support the effectiveness of operations.

Your day to day:

• Participate in the plan-of-the-day meetings to understand the current work assignments for the various labs.
• Collaborate with the site management to implement a more robust process to accurately and efficiently manage data throughout the production process.
• Partner with Production Planning and site leadership to identify improvements in visual management
• Develop improved process to maintain configuration control of processed test articles and samples
• Assist in the development of digital work management tools

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field
• Results oriented, enthusiastic, creative self-starter with effective verbal and written communication skills, partnering and collaboration skills, and business acumen
