Electrical Intern – Burlington, Ontario, Canada (INTERNSHIP for graduates from 2023/2024) 

As an Electrical Intern, you will work on a variety of technical and engineering assignments including design, drafting, and implementation of electrical, instrumentation and controls projects (Capital, Expense, Development) under the guidance of engineers.

 

Your Key Responsibilities/Qualifications

•    Design and optimization of control systems and software related to electrical and mechanical systems
•    Identify suppliers of electro-mechanical components
•    Develop electrical schematics and detailed manufacturing drawings per the Westinghouse Quality Manual

•    Develop software and related documentation (as applicable)
•    Support electrical and/or mechanical assembly of developed systems
•    Support the development of component specifications and purchasing requests
•    Interface with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.
•    Assist with the development of test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
•    Assist with the operation of the final tooling system in the customer facilities

 

Who you are: 
•    Electrical engineering or mechatronics engineering degree eligibility
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Excellent problem solving and time management skills
•    Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge
•    Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
•    Self-motivated and highly organized
•    Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical

•    A background with practical skills developed through jobs, school teams or personal interest are highly valued.
