The Director, ES Sales and Marketing – University & Labs will be responsible to Develop opportunities, and drive North American Energy Systems customers, to front end engineering and design contracts and eventual reactor delivery contracts. This individual is responsible for leading cross functional efforts in developing the capture strategy working with the technical, contracts and licensing team from the identification of an opportunity through negotiation and finalization of contracts. This individual has overall accountability for maintaining a sales pipeline committed to meet Energy Systems objectives which includes the identification and development of opportunities to increase Westinghouse’s market share in existing and potential future markets.
Your Day to Day:
Energy Systems Sales: Americas Utilities, Labs & Universities
- Sales and Commercial Strategy
- Lead capture strategy for all sales opportunities with US and Canadian customers for research reactor, heating and combined heating and power applications.
- Lead LOA and offer processes within Westinghouse including presentation and obtaining buy-in from WEC key stakeholders to ensure offering meets Westinghouse target objectives and Customer needs.
- Work closely with senior management, business line leaders, sales team and a diverse set of stakeholders to be responsible for providing decisions and deliver strategic advice that solves business challenges through research, analysis, compelling strategic recommendations, diligent implementation and execution monitoring.
- Develop a market analysis and go to market strategy for university applications.
- Manage opportunities pipeline including CRM system (Microsoft D365).
- Manage client negotiations working with Energy Systems contracts and leadership team as required.
- Support development and meet key objectives with regards to orders entered, sales pipeline, etc.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build knowledge and stablish relationships with key stakeholders that meets each party’s needs and agreed outcomes. Identify and where possible, understand stakeholder issues, interests, aspirations and concerns to better define program alignment and provide direct technical input/feedback to the eVinci design team for leadership.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder management plans for high probability opportunities.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships once established through regular communication activities as identified with each stakeholder through presentations at meetings, virtual/in-person events, and informal reach-outs. Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders where relevant.
Who You Are:
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical related area
- Typically, 5-10+ years professional experience in combination of Marketing/Sales, Projects, Strategic Programs and/or Stakeholder Management.
- Skils:
- Proven ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments, prepare responses/narrative quickly and build organization relationships.
- Strong analytical thinking capability and business development acumen.
- General knowledge of North American nuclear industry and related associations.
- Knowledge of team building, planning techniques, business management principles and practices.
- Experience in developing and successfully implementing stakeholder engagement plans.
- Experience in marketing and branding, coordinating internal, external & virtual engagement efforts
- Experience organizing initiatives and leading commercialization strategies.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills, highly articulate team player.
- General knowledge of related plant operations and designs
- Sales related experience and/or education
