The Manager, Export Compliance - Americas ensures regulatory compliance with applicable U.S. and other Americas region government rules and regulations as required for exported items, including, but not limited to, the U.S Department of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations, Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s regulations concerning the Export and Import of Nuclear Equipment and Material, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission’s regulations, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, and others, as assigned.  Interface with government agencies in the America’s region, internal and external customers, internal and external legal counsel and others on matters pertaining to Westinghouse products, services, and technology for export in the Americas region. Establish, enforce, and disseminate company policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to export compliance in the Americas region.


Your Day to Day:

  • Take ownership of the export compliance program in the Americas region with the goal of elevating compliance throughout the respective area.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations relating to the export of products, U.S. and other applicable export licensing in the Americas region, technology transfers, and anti-boycott laws.
  • Manage and continuously improve effective export compliance processes for Westinghouse products, services, and technologies in the Americas region or subject to applicable export control regulations to minimize significant adverse governmental actions while improving delivery service and reliability.
  • Ensure Westinghouse compliance processes meet or exceed federal laws related to export compliance in the Americas region.
  • Design and conduct internal compliance training programs for internal and external employees
  • Prepare, submit, and track export licenses, authorizations, and agreements in the Americas region and submit any required reporting to the associated government agencies in a timely manner
  • Investigate issues, prepare, submit, and track internal communications or voluntary disclosures as deemed necessary to resolve or report violations in an expedient manner and take appropriate corrective actions


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 8+ years of previous trade compliance experience desired
  • Previous customer and/or senior executive interface
