Project manager (w/m/D)
Job Summary:
Manage multiple large, complex and high hazard projects involving major financial, contractual and reputational commitments. Provide strategic direction to our clients, project partners and stake holders. Strengthen long term service delivery relationships with the client, and develop strong relationships with local, influential stakeholders. Implement and monitor Program and Project management systems and controls for projects. Generate new business opportunities by understanding client strategic plans and evaluating potential scope expansion areas to support the decommissioning business. Liaise with other Westinghouse product lines, in order to open up and advise upon adjacent opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Successful Project Execution:
- Analyze and resolve highly complex technical, commercial, and operational issues to provide high quality services/systems, enhance positive customer and supplier relations, and increase/maintain profit margin.
- Analyze contract requirements and assist in developing project-specific deliverables to enable successful program implementation, to enhance customer satisfaction and program performance.
- Analyze needs and develop unique customer satisfaction improvements to address customer needs for support, high quality and efficiency to provide quick turnaround and maintain performance.
- Understand problems and points of view and communicate on broad range of technical disciplines to resolve technical, commercial, and regulatory issues.
- Lead and participate in consortium/partner development in offer phases and lead consortium and partners in execution of contracts
- Responsible to meet or exceed financial objectives for assigned projects.
Beyond project execution, you take an important role for Westinghouse at
- Business Development
- Internal and External Communication:
- Westinghouse representation at conferences and fairs.
Required Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or recognized equivalent
- PMI Certification or equivalent
- 10 - 15 years project leadership/management and related engineering experience is required
- Ideally 5-10 years leading nuclear decommissioning projects
- Experience with Decommissioning and Dismantling activities and technology, ideally experience with Government Decommissioning
- Experience with developing and implementing new business opportunities
- Previous experience in plant operations preferred
- Ideally experience with HOAI cost structure and project principles
- Strong communication skills and a proven history of managing and leading teams effectively and interfacing with multiple functional groups
- Willingness to relocate/accept long term assignment at Nuclear Facilities throughout Europe and abroad
- Business proficient in German and English, ideally one further European language
