The Environmental Engineer identifies and manages the mandatory requirements (or that the company optionally decides to sign) in the environmental field, identifying the applicable legislation, obtaining environmental authorizations and keeping monitored compliance with the requirements contained therein, indicating / providing the company with the information and tools to carry out the production process in compliance with the environment and applicable laws. Follows the implementation and maintenance of the environmental management system by monitoring environmental performance and suggesting the activities to be put in place to obtain the required results.

Management of applicable mandatory environmental provisions
Identification of the mandatory environmental provisions applicable according to the different environmental matrices.
Preparation of practices for the application of environmental authorizations, by contacting the P.A. and / or interfacing with external consultants.
Definition and implementation of the activities / tools / means necessary (including procedures / operating instructions / training) to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations where no authorizations are required by the P.A., as well as organization of the prescribed analyzes.
Maintenance of legislative compliance and maintenance of environmental certification.
Transposition and application of the environmental programs reported by Westinghouse.

Environmental management system implementation and control
Implementation of any internal procedures and operating instructions for the management of the environmental system. Maintenance of documents in support of the waste management system. Collection and organization of data to support and description of the system. Active participation in internal company audits in the environmental field. Organization and conduct of audits of strategic suppliers / contractors.

Training and personal information for critical environmental tasks and for all workers
Field and classroom training to educate all staff on the environmental aspects / impacts associated with the activity carried out and on the correct methods for their management. Training on the management of environmental emergencies. Organization of environmental training of internal company functions with specific and critical environmental tasks.
