We are looking for a Nuclear Structural Engineer to work at our Client’s site.  The position will entail the engineering oversite and management of various projects.  This role is to work with the project manager, construction, planning, engineering and other disciplines in support of the project to assure the engineering is completed with quality and on schedule.  Initiation of engineering change paperwork and other documentations required for the implementation of plant modification. The expectation is to become qualified in the Client’s organization for various positions required in Client’s Position Specific Guides (PSG) and Engineering Support Personnel (ESP) Training.

 

Job Details/Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Prepare and review of various types of structural calculations and analyses to Client and structural standards and codes. This includes the ability to design and qualify anchor bolts and support systems, concrete and structures for various loading combinations and equipment support structures, etc.  These analyses will provide the structural input for various plant projects for installation into the plant.

 

  • Prepare and review of various types of piping analyses to Client and structural standards and codes. This includes the ability to design and qualify piping systems various pressure, temperature combinations for various systems and applications.  These analyses will provide the piping input for various plant projects for installation into the plant.

 

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • BSCE or BSME
  • Project Engineer or Responsible Engineer or Project Management experience
  • 8-10 years or greater of Nuclear experience
  • Nuclear Plant qualifications which may contain systems classes or other advanced plant knowledge which would aid in getting them qualified in the ESP program and PSG program
  • Knowledge of analysis programs such as EPDSTRUDL, GTSTRUDL, STAAD, MathCAD, etc,
  • Analytical experience
