Opportunity Overview: Senior Field Service Technician - Contract  

 

Our client, a global company with a successful history in industrial, commercial and municipal water solutions, is hiring a contract Sr. Field Service Technician!

As a Sr. Field Service Technician, you will Initiate and execute field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner. This is a hands-on opportunity for the right candidate to travel to multiple client sites and interact with the customer, as well as working with the internal team. The priority is always to work safely and provide outstanding service to our customers.

What your day-to-day looks like:

  • Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization
  • Takes care of company property
  • Proactively trouble shoots systems for mechanical, electrical equipment conditions
  • Anticipates and corrects safety issues – both company and customer owned equipment
  • Direct interfacing with customer
  • May be responsible for work in multiple systems, locations or customers
  • Provides coaching or training to entry-level technicians

 

Organization Impact:

  • First line or backup/escalation of technical service support
  • Customer facing
  • High utilization
  • Highly accountable to customer for operation and repair of the system

 

What we need to see from you:           

 

Knowledge, Experience & Education:

  • Ability to obtain TWIC card
  • Ability to coach and training entry-level technicians
  • 2-5 years technical experience including industrial or commercial process water experience
  • Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices
  • Must have customer service experience
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability
  • Able to obtain a CDL class A or B with applicable endorsements
  • Must be able to function in a team environment
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • HS diploma or equivalent / Industry specific licenses preferred

 

Driving Requirements:

  • Able to operate a company vehicle
  • Able to pass driver requirements which include:
    • Driver Application for Employment
    • Driver Disclosure and Release
    • Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement
    • FMCSA Certificate of Awareness
    • Driver Certificate of Violations
    • Driver Statement of On Duty Hours
    • Road Test
    • Copy of Driver’s License (Front and Back)
    • Copy of Medical Certificate

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
  • May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
  • May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete
  • Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required
