Maintenance Assistant

Maintenance Assistant - contract - Columbia, SC 

Your day to day: 
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as:  
•    Plumbing maintenance, including drain cleaning  
•    Low voltage electrical repair, e.g.: bulb replacements
•    Repair door locks and door closers
•    Flooring repairs 
•    Painting
•    Ceiling tile replacement
Serve as confined space attendant and perform fire watch duties
Material moves / deliveries
General maintenance related housekeeping activities
Other facility support tasks assigned, including visitor escorting

Who you are:  
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement:    High School Diploma or GED. 
Years of Experience (if applicable):    2+ years’ experience with Facility or Property Management, preferred 

Professional Certifications:     
Skills and Competencies:  

 •    Superior customer service skills and orientation
•    Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations
•    Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints
•    Ability to work without direct supervision
•    Ability to learn and appropriately utilize Westinghouse propriety computer software
•    Must satisfactorily meet background checks and fitness-for-duty requirements 
•    Ability to maintain respirator qualifications
