Position Overview:
The primary role of the Lead Financial Analyst (Project Finance) is to coordinate all aspects related to the financial reporting, analysis, and controls for the Energy Systems Business Unit execution of the eVinci Research and Development Program. Provide financial advice, counsel and oversight to the business leadership team. In addition, the Lead Financial Analyst is expected to make suggestions for process improvements where required and provide project level analytics insights. This will require interaction with U.S. Government through the Department of Energy Grant programs. This is a part time or full time position, with a minimum of 24 hours per week. US Mobile or Remote role, with a mobile preference for a candidate at one of our offices 1 day per week.
Your Day to Day:
In this position, the Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following activities related to the Program:
- Consolidate and maintain the monthly financial reports and templates to reflect accurate reporting, planning, and forecasting of the multi-faceted project operations
- Review financial results and variance analysis to identify potential issues or areas for investigation
- Plan and coordinate the execution of the Annual and Monthly program forecasts
- Calculate and report the monthly internal costing rates
- Develop and provide the Central budgets, forecast, and variance analytics (incl. Marketing, B&P, USG, R&D)
- Present the details of monthly or ad hoc reports during group or one-on-one meetings with senior BU finance and operational leadership teams
- Provide support to project teams, proposal development teams, and corporate planning teams on a regular basis
- Support for compliance reviews for timesheet entries, travel expense reviews, and other cost reviews
- Build partnerships with internal Westinghouse support organizations (Shared Services, Procurement, Accounting, Business Reporting & Analysis, etc.)
Who You Are:
- B.S. or B.A in Accounting or Finance or Equivalent
- 3-5 years of project related experience
- 10 years relevant FP&A experience
*CPA and or MBA is preferred
