General Job Function and Detailed Responsibilities:
The Global Export Classification Program Manager will principally assist the Director, Global Trade Compliance with export classification programs and operations. This role will support the Global Export Compliance and Global Classification programs.. Responsibilities include:
• Serve as lead point of contact on Global Trade Compliance Team for export classification for items, technology, and services globally
• Manage export classifications for the company in a single repository
• Document and provide rationale for export classifications
• Create and provide export classification training
• Coordinate with Global Trade Compliance Team and Engineering on classification methodology
• Maintain and update Global Export Classification Procedure
• Assist Director, Global Trade Compliance with communications on Global Classification Program
• Assist Global Trade Compliance Team with export reporting globally
• Provide metrics and visuals on export classifications, training, and requests
• Seek to optimize, streamline and standardize export classification procedures
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree required.
Years of Experience (if applicable): 10+years or more of previous export compliance experience desired
Professional Certifications: N/A
Skills and Competencies:
Technical knowledge of U.S. export and import and customs laws and regulations is required
Demonstrated ability to work across international regions and cultures.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly, proactively (timely), and concisely communicate with internal and external business partners.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced collaborative environment and efficiently works within deadlines.
Possesses strong organizational skills.
Adaptive, flexible, and able to function effectively in a highly complex global environment with a proven ability to multi-task.
Analytical skills and questioning attitude required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong skills in Excel and SharePoint. Experience with SAP a must.
Demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly.
