Distribution Systems Testing Coordinator

About the role:

Lubbock, TX

We are looking for a Distribution Systems Testing Coordinator to support electric distribution system testing activities in Lubbuck,TX for this hybrid position. You will coordinate point-to-point testing of field devices and distribution substation equipment within a secure SIP-controlled environment.

You will have experience with electric distribution systems, and the ability to coordinate testing schedules, track results, and collaborate with multiple teams. You will offer a blend of independent field testing responsibilities and collaborative project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform point-to-point testing of electric distribution field devices, including:
  • Reclosers
  • Capacitor bank racks
  • Sectionalizing cabinets
  • Distribution substation equipment
• Coordinate testing schedules with field crews and team members.
• Prepare testing logistics and ensure all resources are in place before execution.
• Work within a secure SIP-controlled environment while following established procedures.
• Document and report testing results using Excel and PowerApps.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field teams to support successful project execution.
• Identify testing issues, discrepancies, and project updates.
• Participate in occasional field visits to gain operational perspective and support testing activities.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in electric utility, power distribution, telecommunications, or related industries.
• 1+ years of experience working with electric distribution systems.
• Coordinate testing activities and manage project logistics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using PowerApps or similar data collection/reporting tools.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45.00/hour to $50.00/hour.
