Opportunity Overview:

The Payroll Implementation Project Manager has the primary responsibility of coordinating and directing the implementation of the UKG payroll solution in the countries of the United States and Canada.  Reporting to the Director of HR Systems and Services Transformation, the Project Manager will ensure all tasks are completed timely, payroll team members are engaged and contributing, risks and issues escalated appropriately, and reporting to senior management is comprehensive.  The Project Manager will also ensure cross functional collaboration within HR CoEs (Total Rewards, HRIS, HR Operations) as well as outside of HR (IT, Accounting, Treasury). 

What your day-to-day looks like:

  • Lead meetings such as kick-offs, requirements gathering, testing, project management, and team status meetings.
  • Analyze current HR and payroll processes and suggest ways to utilize new payroll tools to improve efficiency.
  • Provide subject matter expertise related to implementation best practices.
  • Collaborate on project plan with UKG and internally to ensure realistic miletones are set and achieved.
  • Facilitate the creation of or modification to documentation regarding the new system, payroll processes, and roles & responsibilities.
  • Manage the testing and acceptance of the delivered solutions with internal stakeholders (IT, payroll, etc.).
  • Support data mapping from source system(s) to UKG Systems and validate data conversion activities.
  • Participate in all testing cycles.
  • Provide input to change management activities including training, communication, job aids, and office hours.

 

What we’d like to see from you: 

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with UKG tools strongly preferred.
  • Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross functional processes, working with people in different countries and functions.
  • Solid experience creating and implementing policies and procedures to support global payroll processing.
  • Unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality of data.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.  Must have the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly learn various HR, Payroll, and ticketing systems. 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years project management experience in HR projects or experience of at least 3 global payroll implementations in project lead role.
  • Preference given to candidates who have implemented UKG payroll previously.
