Opportunity Overview:

Long-term contract opportunity as a Radiation Protection Instructor working remote. INPO certified. Reporting to the Plant Director.

Your Day-to-Day:

You will provide training and qualifications activities for the line organizations in Radiation Protection instruction.

This includes training in the classroom, lab, and plant environments. You will support deliverables including program maintenance, program design, program development, and administrative tasks.

• Seek out and incorporate industry and site Operating Experience (OE) in the training environment.
• Promote management expectations and programs in the training environments including activities that support our mission.
• Deliver training in the classroom, lab, and on-the-job locations.
• Perform critical evaluations of trainee performance, which may include pass/fail determinations for qualifications.
• Establish a role in the training activities, which includes providing the very best example of personal and professional performance of line activities and station standards.
• Support the corrective action programs in all phases of evaluations, performing corrective actions, and related administrative departments.
• Participate in analysis of training processes, proposing efficiency enhancements, and implementing enhancements.
• Develop lesson plans to ensure information is accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Create test questions for subject matter being presented.
• Administer examinations to students.
• Develop personal teaching techniques that assure delivery of excellent training activities.
• Effectively solicit, administer, and evaluate trainee feedback and management observations toward improving the quality and effectiveness of training.
• Establish effective working plan to complete training assignments by established due dates at an excellent quality level.

Who You Are:

• High school diploma (or GED equivalent) and six years nuclear facility experience
• Four years of which must be in the subject matter related to the trainer position
• Bachelor's degree relevant to the subject matter and 4 years of subject matter related experience.
• We prefer two years of instructor experience in a technical field or certification in vocational or adult education.
• The employer desires an INPO instructor certification.
• Analyze common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
• Mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $98/hour to $100/hour.
