DBA Analyst

About the role:

Contract opportunity for a DBA Analyst. You will work with the Data base Lead and you will report to the Program Manager. This position is remote.

Key Responsibilities:

You will review, test, recommend and install upgrades of database software, including patches and major releases

Perform database backup and recovery, including periodic testing

Upgrade, configure and maintain server and database monitoring software to baseline system performance and identify (and remedy) potential issues.

Resource monitoring and capacity planning.

Review, test, update and document detailed disaster recovery/business continuity plans for main production servers

You will modify the database structure, from information given by application developers

Enroll users and maintain system security and you will control user access to the database

You will be primary responsible of this position during business hours, however there is some evening and weekend work related to projects, planned maintenance, and on-call support

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field

3+ years of support in a SQL Server standalone and clustered environments

• Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.

• Experience accomplishing all areas of database administration on current technologies

• Troubleshooting for critical database, networking and system administration issue

• Meet deadlines

• Ability to document technical design and related project or systems-level documentation

• You will collaborate with clients, peers, and management to troubleshoot issues, develop solutions and ensure team member support

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $80/hour to $84/hour.
