Canned Motor Pump Maintenance Technical Advisor

Opportunity Overview:  Canned Motor Pump Maintenance Technical Advisor – 12 Month Contract

WECTEC Staffing/Westinghouse has a need for a Canned Motor Pump Maintenance Technical Advisor at the Waltz Mill Service Center located in Madison, Pennsylvania.  The candidate will support critical aspects of pump reassembly and tooling/equipment setup and operation.  The employment will be contracted on an intermittent, casual basis based on the schedule of activities in the shop.  This will be for up to 40 hours per week during active assembly work, with several weeks or months off in between active projects.

What your day-to-day looks like:  

• Providing technical input on setup, operation, maintenance, and use of pump fixturing and tooling.
• Provide hands-on support and oversight of equipment operation and pump disassembly/assembly tasks.
• Support the engineering team in developing work instructions, drawings, and work packages.
• Support the project management team in identifying and managing risks.

What we need to see from you:

• 10+ years of experience in canned motor pump maintenance
• Previous technical experience in operation of pump stand and handling equipment
• Demonstrated proficiency in advising/mentoring mechanics or engineers
• Experience working in an industrial environment and Radiation Area / Contaminated Area, with a willingness to adhere to applicable safety procedures, Radiation Work Permits, etc.
• US Citizen (note: project specific training will be provided to ensure all applicable security requirements are met)
