About the role:
NDE Technician Level III - based in Madison, PA supporting outage work on-site at multiple nuclear sites. This is a contract role that will last approximately 6 months. You will report to the Senior Manager of Resource Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct non-destructive examinations according to written procedures.
- Interpret and document the results of the examinations following applicable standards and specifications.
- Investigate and interrupt several different industry standards, codes, and procedures throughout the nuclear and non-nuclear fields.
- Help develop new techniques and inspection procedures and review existing techniques to refine processes to support the nuclear and non-nuclear industries.
- Work in a team environment with other NDT personnel to support Field projects with procedures and examination plans
- Participate in performance-based training programs to acquire and maintain certifications and keep current with technology.
- Participate in safety training to acquire the knowledge to perform work in hazardous environments and operate safety equipment and systems.
- Operate and troubleshoot field service equipment at customer sites, including non-destructive examination (NDE) technology, robotic systems and computer networks.
- Perform all assigned tasks with support, with a high degree of quality, and within the parameters of qualified procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain and document all quality related issues.
- Develop and exercise team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers and other departments.
- Demonstrate good customer sensitivity
- Operate and maintain equipment and processes
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- Minimum two (2) years' experience as a Level II Technician
- At least two (2) years of experience performing non-destructive inspections of nuclear and non-nuclear power plants according to approved procedures and codes.
- ANST SNT-TC-1A and CP-189 Level II in Volumetric (UT)
- Working Knowledge of ASME Code
- Must be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and be able to perform job responsibilities.
- Ability to travel up to 60% during the spring and fall with multiple 1–3-week work trips and maintain Unescorted Access to nuclear facilities.
- Additional Requirements:
- ANST SNT-TC-1A Level II in Multiple Disciplines Surface (UT, VT, MT, and PT)
- Working Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD or equivalent CAD modeling program
- Familiarity with NDE modeling software (CIVA, Beam Tool, Ultravision)
- Phased Array working knowledge

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $95.00/hour to $100.00/hour.
