Position Summary:
The Project Assessor supports the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of a nuclear generating facility by evaluating project execution, performance, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. This role ensures projects meet quality, safety, and operational excellence expectations within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess plant projects for compliance with NRC regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Perform independent evaluations of project plans, execution, and outcomes to identify risks, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project management teams to ensure alignment with safety and performance goals.
- Review documentation, schedules, and performance metrics to verify project effectiveness and adherence to scope.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback and recommendations to leadership and project teams.
- Support corrective action programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in audits, self-assessments, and benchmarking activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in nuclear, energy, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance, compliance, and safety standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
