About the role:

We are looking for an onsite QA/QC Site Manager to support a greenfield simple cycle combustion turbine project involving the construction of two turbine units. You will provide on-site quality oversight, ensuring EPC contractors and vendors follow established quality standards, procedures, specifications, and applicable codes.

You will play a critical role throughout the project lifecycle, with a focus on welding oversight, audits, inspections, and turnover documentation to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.

This is an on-site role supporting a project team of approximately 200 personnel. You will report to the Project Manager and work with construction and quality leadership teams, EPC contractors, and vendor representatives. The typical schedule is 50+ hours per week, with potential for overtime, and may require 5–6 days onsite depending on project phase and needs.

Candidates residing outside a 50-mile radius may be eligible for per diem following GSA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review EPC quality programs, procedures, inspection plans, and turnover documentation for compliance and completeness.
  • Perform field audits, site walks, and inspections to verify adherence to approved quality standards and procedures.
  • Oversee welding activities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to ASME B31.1 and B31.3 standards for power, steam, and process piping systems.
  • Identify hold points, witness points, and critical inspection and testing milestones.
  • Witness and document important activities such as hydrotests, pressure testing, and rotating equipment installations.
  • Collaborate with EPC quality teams, inspectors, vendors, and OEM representatives to agree on quality expectations and execution.
  • Provide mentorship, and subject matter expertise to inspectors and project personnel.
  • Support supplier and fabrication quality oversight activities.

Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of QA/QC or construction quality oversight experience, within energy or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • You bring knowledge of welding practices, inspection techniques, and code compliance.
  • You are experienced working with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 standards.
  • You have hands-on experience with auditing, inspections, hydrotesting, pressure testing, and rotating equipment installation.
  • Valid driver's license required.
