BESS Construction Manager

About the role:

Onsite Role in Rogers, NM

Per Diem offered to qualified candidates

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to support the build of a 400 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. You will oversee daily construction activities, ensure that you complete work safely, and to quality standards.

The Construction Manager will work with project teams, contractors, inspectors, and team members to lead completion and resolve issues in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily construction activities across the project site
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure safety compliance and quality standards
• Perform field inspections and verify work against design drawings
• Review and track BESS equipment deliveries and installation progress
• Participate in project meetings and support decision-making processes
• Prepare and submit weekly reports and progress updates
• Coordinate with:
  • Project leadership
  • Site safety teams
  • Contractors and inspectors
• Resolve field issues, and conflicts
• Provide guidance and recommendations on construction execution
• Track schedules and ensure activities meet timeline and budget goals

Qualifications:

• 10–15+ years of construction experience in:
  • Mechanical or Civil disciplines
• 5+ years of experience leading large-scale construction projects
• Knowledge of:
  • Racking systems and inverter installation
  • Renewable energy or BESS/solar construction
• Experience managing contractors and field crews
• Safety mindset
• Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $92-97/hr.
