CMMS Maintenance Planner

About the role:

• Monday–Friday
• 8‑hour day shift (6:00–14:00 or 7:00–15:00)
• Occasional overtime
• New Castle, PA

We are looking for a mechanically inclined Maintenance/Electrical/Outage Planner to support onsite operations in New Castle, PA. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities, developing detailed job plans, identifying required labor and materials, and supporting contractors.

You will be comfortable working inside an industrial plant environment, and able to provide hands‑on visual assessments of equipment to create accurate repair and maintenance plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter the plant to visually inspect damaged or failed equipment
• Determine required crafts (asbestos/insulation removal, scaffold, welders, fitters, electricians)
• Identify necessary parts using nameplates, drawings, manuals, and field observations
• List required resources needed to complete work safely
• Develop step‑by‑step, detailed job plans for maintenance activities
• Create complete job packages for craft personnel
• Contact vendors to obtain pricing for replacement parts
• Order, stage, and kit parts for upcoming work
• Ensure materials are ready so craft workers can go directly to the job site
• Schedule maintenance activities and coordinate timing across teams
• Provide contractor support and guidance when needed
• Work overtime as required, especially during outages
• Learn and use Maximo CMMS (experience preferred but not required)
• Update job scopes, plans, and records
• Review and refine job plans based on actual field conditions

Qualifications:

• Work onsite in an industrial plant environment
• Experience planning or supporting maintenance activities
• Read drawings, manuals, nameplates, and technical documentation
• Maximo CMMS experience (or similar planning/maintenance system)
• 1+ years of experience in maintenance planning, outage planning, or electrical/mechanical coordination
• 1+ years experience working with multi‑craft contractors
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and proper tool selection
