About the role:

We're looking for an Engineer in Denver, CO to support the planning and delivery of gas infrastructure projects, including new installations and replacement pipeline assets. We offer a hybrid schedule. You'll contribute to engineering design, project scoping, cost estimating, regulatory compliance, and construction support that keep critical energy systems operating safely and reliably.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and update project scope, schedule, and status using internal project management tools
  • Research existing gas assets, including as‑built drawings, records, and historical documentation
  • Scope engineering projects using input from Operations, regulatory drivers, and capital planning projects
  • Prepare design drawings, redlines, service layouts, and construction packages using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Develop preliminary concepts and identify constructability considerations early in project development
  • Create preliminary cost estimates to support budgeting and project authorization
  • Advance projects through established stage‑gate and governance processes, preparing required documentation
  • Coordinate with Project Management to support scheduling, execution planning, and issue resolution
  • Participate in cross‑functional team meetings, trainings, staff meetings, and coordination sessions
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including responding to field questions and issuing design clarifications
  • Prepare or revise operating, commissioning, and in‑service procedures
  • Update drawings, documentation, and records following construction completion

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Pipeline, or related discipline)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software

No prior professional engineering experience is required. We encourage recent graduates and early‑career engineers to apply.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $34-38/hr.
