Project Engineer

Opportunity Overview:

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Project Construction – Renewable Substation group in Richmond, VA. You will play an important part in supporting engineering and construction activities for renewable energy substation projects. You will work a hybrid schedule, with in-office presence required Tuesday through Thursday.

While you will begin as a contract role, there is potential for direct hire following the initial term based on performance and needs.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Attend weekly and monthly project meetings
• Review project documentation including notices, change orders, and milestone payments
• Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and facilitate resolution
• Coordinate review of engineering design packages
• Support resolution of construction-related issues
• Facilitate review of turnover documentation and milestone completion requirements
• Report on engineering and construction progress

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electric distribution, transmission, or generation
• Collaboration with project teams, customers, utilities, and government agencies
• Experience with substations and transmission lines
• Construction project experience
• Power system modeling knowledge
• Familiarity with relay setting and coordination
