Business Services Technician

About the role:

We're looking for a Business Services Tech-Level 1 on behalf of our client. This is a 6-months contract assignment.(W-2) You will support the cost management and internal controls activities for the Power Generation Division. Individuals in this position perform multiple basic administrative assistance tasks. You should a general understanding of Procurement and Accounting.

You will maintain records, retrieves and compile data, compiles financial reports for budget, variance, and cost tracking. You will complete month-end close responsibilities, ensures all transactions comply with Sarbanes-Oxley. May help with accounts payable activities

Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410

You will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create Purchase Orders with a focus on commercial content and risk mitigation.

• Process Work Cycles and MR 11 transactions.

• Support the Jira service desk.

• Perform month end activities and Resolve vendor issues.

• Handle and respond to urgent requests.

• Collaborate with multiple departments – Engineering, Operations, Business Management, IT, Accounts Payable, and the Integrated Supply Chain.

• Maintain compliance with company SOX controls and procedures.

• Participate in special projects and perform special assignments.

Qualifications:

• High School Grad / GED
• 1 or more years in Procurement, Accounts Payable or another administrative finance position
• SAP experience
