About the role: The Construction BESS Superintendent oversees field construction activities associated with utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The primary focus of this role is on mechanical and electrical installation, QA/QC oversight, safety compliance, and EPC contractor coordination. You will complete all construction activities safely and follow project specifications, engineering drawings, codes, standards, and commissioning requirements. You will report to an onsite Construction Manager. You will be the primary field representative for construction execution and quality management. You will coordinate daily activities between EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project partners throughout all phases of construction. This is a 1 year, onsite contract, based in Colorado.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee field construction activities for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, with a focus on mechanical and electrical installation.
• Ensure construction is completed safely and follows project specifications, engineering drawings, codes, standards, and commissioning requirements.
• Provide QA/QC oversight and serve as the primary field representative for construction execution and quality management.
• Coordinate daily field activities between EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project partners.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience overseeing field construction activities within BESS, energy, power generation, or large-scale industrial construction.
• 5+ years of experience with mechanical or electrical construction and installation activities.
• 3+ years of experience with construction QA/QC, safety compliance, and EPC contractor/subcontractor coordination.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and commissioning requirements.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $32/hour to $53/hour.
