About the role:

We're looking for a Project Management Consultant on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will support the planning and coordination of electrical infrastructure and grid‑related projects, including transmission, substation, and compliance‑driven projects. This role is ideal for candidates with an electrical engineering background or equivalent industry experience who are early‑career to mid‑level and looking to grow within large‑scale utility or energy programs.

You will work with engineering, operations, vendors, and compliance team members to ensure projects are delivered, within scope, aligned with regulatory, and safety requirements.

Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project execution across electrical, transmission, substation, or grid‑compliance programs
• Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, and action tracking using MS Project and Smartsheet
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, vendors, and compliance team members
• Track risks, issues, costs, and deliverables; support change management
• Prepare status reports, meeting notes, and project documentation
• Participate in project meetings and site visits

Qualifications:

• 1 year or more years of experience in project management, engineering support, or utility/energy projects
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent power/utility experience)
• Experience to Grid compliance or regulated utility programs and Transmission lines, substations, or power infrastructure

Helpful experience

• Utility or NERC‑related project exposure
• Field experience with substations or transmission assets
• Consulting or contract‑based project experience

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40.00/hr. to $45.00/hr.
