About the role:
We're looking for a Solar Construction Project Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 2-months contract assignment.(W-2) You would need to be is familiar with NYSERDA and EPC project Management.
Location: Avon NY 14414. Per diem available.
You will report to the onsite manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Site Management with overseeing ground-mounted system installation and coordinating with contractors to ensure adherence to local Avon, NY solar regulations.
• Grid Interconnection: Will manage technical aspects of connecting high-capacity solar systems with the Solar Farm
• Will handle project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and team member communication from development through commissioning.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with technical installation on commercial solar systems.
- Need to have a strong ability to read and understand solar energy system drawings and schematics.
Helpful Qualifications
- A two or four-year Technical Degree
- Experience with Helioscope or similar solar design software
- Background managing commercial solar projects from 50kW to 1.5MW scale
- Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and AHJ permitting.
