Job Summary:
The Consortium Project Controls Director is responsible for leading and coordinating all project control functions across a multi-organization consortium. This includes cost management, scheduling, risk analysis, and performance reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The role requires strategic oversight, cross-organizational collaboration, and the implementation of standardized project control methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management:
Develop and maintain comprehensive cost control systems across consortium projects.
Monitor budgets, forecasts, and expenditures; identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure alignment with financial objectives and funding requirements.
Scheduling & Planning:
Oversee the development and maintenance of integrated master schedules.
Ensure consistency in planning methodologies across consortium partners.
Monitor schedule performance and critical path activities.
Risk & Change Management:
Identify and assess project risks; develop mitigation strategies.
Manage change control processes, ensuring all changes are documented and approved.
Performance Reporting:
Establish KPIs and dashboards to track project performance.
Provide regular reports and presentations to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Governance & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to consortium agreements, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Lead audits and reviews of project control processes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead a team of project control professionals across multiple organizations.
Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among consortium members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
15+ years of experience in project controls, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a consortium or joint venture environment.
Strong knowledge of project control tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Oracle).
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
