Opportunity Overview: Civil/Mechanical Lead Supervisor – 6+ month contract – Surry, VA

 

The Civil/Mechanical Lead Supervisor oversees the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment within nuclear facilities. Additionally, this supervisor will ensure the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems to support safe operations.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Overseeing Mechanical Installation: As a Mechanical Lead supervisor, you will manage and coordinate daily installation tasks related to plant systems, structures and components.
  • Provide input to daily planning and schedule activities that align with management expectations.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations, quality standards and environmental requirements is an important aspect of this role in supervising mechanical operations.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and contractors, ensuring effective execution of tasks.

 

Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred
  • 5 or more years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience supervising new installation and maintenance in nuclear power
  • Experience with mechanical systems and equipment commonly used in nuclear facilities, such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers and turbines.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Knowledge of installation/maintenance techniques and best practices, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 75.00/hour to $82.00/hour.
