IT Computer Technician – Contract

Your Day-to-Day:

• System Maintenance and Repair: Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware (like desktops, laptops, printers, routers, and switches) and software (including operating systems and applications). This may involve re-imaging machines, install drivers, and managing cables.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, providing technical support to users (in person, via phone, or email), and escalating issues to higher-level support or management as needed.
• Network Management: Ensuring network connectivity, troubleshooting network issues, and potentially installing and configuring network components like routers and switches.
• Security: Implementing and maintaining security measures, including antivirus software, and potentially assisting in addressing security incidents or breaches.
• Documentation: Maintaining records of repairs, fixes, maintenance schedules, and potentially creating or updating knowledge bases or FAQs.
• Updates and Upgrades: Performing regular upgrades and updates to software and hardware, as needed.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: 

• Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of computer systems, including hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS), networks, and internet applications.
• Problem-solving and Troubleshooting:
• Communication and Customer Service
• Attention to Detail:
• Experience: Previous experience as a help desk technician, computer technician, or IT support specialist is generally preferred.
