Operations SME for Improved Technical Project

About the role: I

As an Operations Subject Matter Expert you will be responsible for the key Technical Specifications:

• Review and Update Technical Standards
• Technical Guidance and Support
• Compliance and Regulatory Alignment
• Collaboration Across Teams
• Documentation and Knowledge Management
• Continuous Improvement

You will work 30 hours per week. You will report onsite at the South Texas Project nuclear plant in Wadsworth, Texas. You will report to the Project Manager of the project.

This is a contract position for approximately 10 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide operational input to support development of the Technical Requirements Manual (TRM) and ITS products.
• Verify the as-built plant configurations allow the plant to be operated and tested as proposed in ITS implementation procedures and programs.
• Ensuring the TRM Specifications Completion Times are consistent with safe and prudent plant operation.
• Ensure that the TRM Specifications are user-friendly to the Operators and the associated Bases are adequate.
• Perform technical evaluation of deletions or changes to the requirements relocated from the CTS, and monitoring parallel operations, providing status reports to the PM and Licensing, and immediate notification of operating conflicts with the ITS.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related discipline or 8+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Nuclear plant experience at South Texas Project nuclear plant.
• You will successfully pass the nuclear background and pre-employment drug testing.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $80/hour to $100/hour.
