About the role:

QC Support - Nuclear outage support 1 month Contract

QC Inspection ensures the quality and safety of welds by conducting detailed inspections and verifying compliance with industry standards and project specifications. They review welding procedures, monitor weld performance, and document inspection results to guarantee structural integrity. Expertise in welding codes and defect identification is essential for preventing failures and maintaining regulatory adherence.

You will report onsite at the South Texas Nuclear Plant in Wadsworth, Texas

Key Responsibilities:

This role requires a deep understanding of welding processes and metallurgy to accurately assess weld integrity.

Proficiency in reading blueprints and fabrication drawings is crucial to identify potential defects and ensure compliance with project specifications.

You will have the knowledge of welding codes and standards.

Mastery of industry codes such as AWS, ASME, and API enables Welding Inspectors to enforce safety and quality regulations. This expertise ensures that welds meet legal and technical requirements, reducing the risk of structural failures.

This role requires critical (NDT) skills . Must be familiar with NDT methods like ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and magnetic particle inspection allows Welding Inspectors to detect internal and surface flaws without damaging the material. This skill enhances the accuracy of inspections and supports preventive maintenance strategies.

This role requires excellent communication and documentation skills. Clear communication facilitates collaboration with welders, engineers, and project managers to resolve welding issues promptly. Effective documentation supports traceability, quality assurance, and compliance auditing throughout the construction process.

Qualifications:

• NDT certified
• 3+ years of experience the similar quality role
• Nuclear experience 3+ years.
• 18 years of age.
• Must successfully pass the nuclear background, fitness for duty including a pre-employment drug screen.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $55/hour to $70/hour.
