Controls Engineer The Electrical and Controls Engineer will be a member of a multidisciplinary team to modify existing equipment and install new process equipment. The project engineer will be involved with all phases of the project starting with developing concepts, providing estimates, developing installation timelines, designing power and controls, supporting installation, and testing of the equipment.
You will report to the office in Warrendale, PA
Your Day-to-Day:
- Understand and help define project specifications and performance requirements for the equipment and system.
- Understand and help define project requirements for modifications to existing control systems or installation of new control system hardware to meet project needs. • Understand and help define project requirements for instrumentation, servos, and drives.
- Provide rough order of magnitude estimates for changes and new equipment. • Provide changes to Process and Instrumentation Drawings, Electrical Elementaries and Loop Sheets.
- Prepare technical documents to support purchase of equipment, installation of equipment, and testing / qualification of equipment.
- Convey project information to all levels of the organization including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist with SWIL testing and maintain the project specific simulation model (i.e., ACSL/Matlab).
- Provide technical support and input to Westinghouse I&C management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering. A degree in other disciplines may be considered with demonstrated instrumentation and controls acumen.
- Desire for pursuing a career in control systems engineering
- Preferred skills: Emerson Ovation, MATLAB
- You will pass background including a drug screen prior to your start with the company.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $30/hour to $35/hour.
