I&C Systems Engineer

Opportunity Overview:

We are looking for an I&C Systems Engineer to help implement systems engineering processes on large Westinghouse projects. Although the applicant’s primary job focus will be on large projects, there will be some work related to small projects as needed.

What your day to day looks like:

• Apply configuration management, requirements management, and verification and validation concepts across multiple systems in a consistent manner,
• Coordinating and leading technical design creation and changes across multi-discipline groups.

• Decompose and implement technical and process requirements from contracts, codes and standards, or other project inputs into I&C specific requirements.
• Evaluate analysis inputs and results to develop specific technical solutions for customers.
• Coordinate technical discussions between groups and disciplines.
• Effectively communicate (written and verbal) analyses basis, summary of results, proposed solutions, and implementation instructions to customers and team members.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships by positively addressing customer concerns and issues.
• Work within a team and coordinate external support, as needed, to successfully complete project scope.
• Produce interface specifications between different scopes of equipment.

What we’d like to see from you:

Education:

• BS in Engineering Related Discipline

Experience/Requirements:

• Strong technical interest, including a desire and willingness to learn.
• Previous knowledge of overall design and operation of Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) and systems is preferred but not required.
• A basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with various I&C systems preferred.
• Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles.
• Basic understanding of configuration management and requirements management concepts
• Basic understanding of verification and validation concepts
• Familiarity with the concept of providing cost estimates for project scopes preferred.
• Familiarity with Industry Codes and Standards preferred.
