Opportunity Overview:

This is a WECTEC Contractor Opportunity for a Setpoint and Control Systems Engineer working a hybrid remote and onsite at or office in Warrendale, PA.

You will be expected t work a 40 hour week.

You will report to the Manager onsite.

This is a WTSS Contractor Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an engineering contractor to support Reactor Trip System (RTS) and Engineered Safety Feature Actuation System (ESFAS) Setpoint Uncertainty Analysis, and data / statistical analysis.

You will work a hybrid schedule with some on-site requirements in the Westinghouse Warrendale, PA and Cranberry Twp. Headquarters offices.

You will report to the Supervisor, Setpoint and Control Systems.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Perform and maintain uncertainty analysis using the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved Westinghouse Setpoint Methodology (WSM) for both AP1000 plants and other domestic nuclear plants.
• Perform statistical / data analyses to examine the instrument performance (drift) over time, and to project performance over a longer time period.
• Ensure that the surveillance extensions are adequately addressed in the setpoint uncertainty analysis.
• Support Project Management on schedule creation.
• Compose clear and concise reports on the above tasks for internal and external customers.

Who You Are:

• BS in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering or MS in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering.
• 10+ years of similar work experience.
• Demonstrate a knowledge of overall design and operation of Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) and systems is highly preferred but not required
• Display knowledge of statistics and data analysis
