About the role:

As a Site Manager, you will oversee daily operations of the BHI Energy contract. This will include managing safety and safe work performance for all personnel, as well as ensuring that all work is performed following design, budget and schedule.

 

You will report to the Director of Operations and will be based at the McGuire Nuclear Station in Hartsville, SC.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assigning work activities for efficiency and productivity that meets client established performance expectations.

  • Provide overall multi-site administrative and technical management expertise for maintenance and project work.

  • Supervise the BHI Energy contract at the assigned station/plant to ensure work is performed or maintained following design, budget and schedule. This includes working with Client representatives.

  • Prepare or receive from your team, reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.

  • Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.

  • Confer with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints within work force.

  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications, schedules and established performance expectations.

  • Plan, coordinate and manage on-site functions. This includes scheduling, engineering, and material control.

  • Assist Supervisors and lead in developing project procedures, operational processes and the safety program requirements, work rules and company standards, etc.

  • Implement and ensure compliance with company and client policies, procedures and expectations. Administer disciplinary action, warnings and coaching.

  • Assume responsibility for the productivity of employees, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the job

  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.

  • Analyze and resolve work related problems.

  • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule and operational need.

  • Read and interpret instructions/documentation and plans work activities.

  • Oversee the movement of materials and equipment to work locations and work site preparation.

  • Ensure that all hazardous waste handling guidelines are followed.

  • Ensure all personnel observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including the proper wear of required personal safety equipment.

  • Oversees direct reports to ensure project standards for cost, schedule, quality, and safety are met according to contract agreements.

  • Acquire and maintain in depth understanding of the technical installation requirements for the work under your management which includes drawings, specifications, procedures and codes.

  • Maintain a current knowledge of the status of the work, workforce, and materials under your supervision.

  • Verify and approve daily time sheets. Maintain time and track production of personnel.

  • Analyze and resolve work related problems.

  • Perform all other duties.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field

  • 5+ years of related supervisory experience in a power facility or related area of expertise

    • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

  • Working knowledge of nuclear power equipment capabilities, nuclear power facility technical expertise, and a proven facility maintenance background

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800.00 to $146,000.00 per year.
