About the role:

As a Team Manager - Maintenance, you will lead the maintenance mechanical department. You will work with other professionals to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of the plant, personnel and production processes. We expect this position to resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and piping issues on production equipment.

 

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and be located at Blairsville, PA. You will work 100% onsite.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, enforcement, and enhancement of worker safety through floor level observations, procedure adherence, and use of Human Performance Tools.
  • Floor level management of maintenance personnel on a daily basis.
  • Develop yearly craft vacation schedules and daily time keeping and approval.
  • Develop employee skill-sets through in-house training and recommended specialized training.
  • Run equipment and machinery, identifying a problem, deduce its causes in the shortest time possible and put measures in place to prevent the problem from recurring.
  • Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
  • Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
  • Write maintenance strategies to help with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
  • Perform quality and efficiency inspections on jobs.
  • Manage routine scheduled maintenance work and reviewing completed work for expected outcome.
  • Arrange procurement of emergent parts needs.
  • Control and improve maintenance costs.
  • Schedule daily work activities for maintenance crafts to ensure coverage of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdown.
  • Project manage equipment installations, shutdowns, and maintenance rebuilds.
  • Plan, organize, assign, direct, and monitor assigned personnel.
  • Establish working relationships with union leadership to insure a cooperative environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams in large organizations and creating processes.
  • Familiar with equipment and parts movement methods.
  • Have experience with assembly and disassembly techniques.
  • Knowledgeable about laser alignment equipment, shearing and bending equipment, and cranes and rigging equipment.
  • Data collection devices for predictive and preventive maintenance are also within my expertise.
  • Understand lubrication principles of equipment and bearing removal and installation techniques.
  • Experience with pump rebuild and installation.
  • Read, interpret, and update mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with PLC ladder logic.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
