Your Day-to-Day:

The insulator will be capable of reading blueprints, cut and fit insulation and covering the insulation to reduce loss or absorption of heat or prevent moisture condensation.  Sheet metal experience is also necessary as metal fabrication is an integral part of insulating.  The insulator craftsman will be capable of directing the work of others. 

FUNCTIONS:

I.   Reading blueprints, cut and fit insulation.

2.  Capable of directing the work of others.

3.  Covering the insulation to reduce loss or absorption of heat or prevent moisture condensation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participate in Pre-Job Briefings.

2. Follow safe work practices- Industrial Safety Procedure.

3. Use administrative documents, procedures, data sheets/forms properly.

4. Climb and work from ladders and scaffolding.

5. Lift minimum of 50 pounds.
