Shipper - Burlington, CA 


Your Day to Day:

  • Receive shipments delivered at Westinghouse Electric Canada, Burlington, Canada
  • Perform incoming inspection of components including; accuracy of product count, documentation review, dimensional inspection, functional inspection, etc.
  • Safely store components in inventory once received
  • Co-ordinating shipments leaving the Burlington facility including; creating shipping paperwork, scheduling trucking, loading and unloading trucks
  • Formally receiving shipments in the Westinghouse SAP software
  • Initiating Non-Conformance Reports for components that arrive out of specification


 Who You Are:

  • High school or equivalent
    • College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years’ relevant experience required
  • Logistics background, preferably in an industrial shipping/receiving role.
  • Material handling, crane and /or lift truck qualifications.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and calendar functions.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe handling of materials, wood working, machining practices, and the ability to recognize unsafe situations.
  • Has excellent safety awareness and some record of training (WHMIS, Lifting…etc.)
