If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for an eVinci Tool Design Engineer, located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada (Mobile/Hybrid).


Your Day-to-Day:

  • Performing both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and/or components against applicable codes & standards
  • Preparing clear and concise design reports and technical specifications.
  • Reviewing, approving and sealing design reports, technical documentation and drawings
  • Driving innovation and new methods in the development of new technologies and nuclear systems
  • Collaborating globally within the Westinghouse Engineering framework alongside SMEs and nuclear specialists 
  • Supporting resolution of issues throughout design, manufacture and testing of systems and/or components 


Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:


  • Bachelor in Engineering (any discipline) 
  • 2 year exp in in conceptual design development, design reviews and engineering design processes and a working knowledge of CSA N299.1
  • Experience in the design of custom components and equipment typically: tooling, steel structures, hoisting/lifting systems, mechanical drive/positioning systems
  • Experience working within 3D CAD systems and with FEA 
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques, welding procedures or specifications and associated inspection techniques. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable leading meetings and giving presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.



  • Application of the relevant codes and standards applicable to the design of nuclear components and systems including specialized tooling and remote handling equipment.
  • Experience with software such as Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor and ANSYS(FEA). Experience in pressure retaining systems to CSA and ASME design codes.
  • Experience interfacing with other technical leaders and cross-cutting functional teams
