Welder/ Day shift

We are looking for a Welder! Core responsibilities are to adhere to and meet the Departments Production Output to the MRP Schedules. Work to instruction given by Line Managers and Management to meet the requirements set out in the Company Values and Mission Statement.

Expected hours: 39 hours a week, early finish on a Friday

Shifts: Day shift working hours

The welder position will be based at Westinghouse Precision Fabrications (A subsidiary of Springfield fuels limited), located in Castle Donington, GB, DE74 2US

Permanent role based in Castle Donington, commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Leicester or the surrounding areas. 

Knowledge & Experience:

• TIG qualified or competently trained approved welder, must be time served and capable of achieving high quality standards of welds.  
• Able to perform quality and consistent welds
• Experience in welding small gauge material
• Confident in working to process instructions
• Familiar with Data card requirements  
• Able to read drawings and refer to work instruction
• Understanding of Non-conforming reporting processes
• Working to Scheduled requirements
• Familiar with tooling, jigs and acceptance fixtures
• Confident to use Micrometres, Verniers and digital equipment
• Competent in using equipment in relation to your working area
• Familiar with performing weld tests for approval to weld product
