About the role:
As a Machining & Welding Machine Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and performance of the equipment under your supervision. You will report hierarchically to the Operations Manager and functionally to a Project Manager.
You will report to the Operations Manager and be located at Chaponnay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop maintenance documentation (preventive maintenance programs, procedures, etc.)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on welding, machining, and other specialized equipment, both on-site and at base locations.
- Define spare parts requirements, maintain inventory, and place orders with suppliers.
- Participate in training sessions for technicians on equipment updates and implementation.
- Propose technical improvements to equipment, incorporating user feedback (REX).
- Oversee equipment tracking and packaging, from shipment to return to storage.
- Inspect, install, and configure equipment prior to use.
- Ensure equipment revalidation before operations.
- Diagnose faults, analyze malfunctions, and replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.
Qualifications:
- Degree (Bac+2/3) in Electrotechnics or Electromechanics.
- Strong technical versatility (analog/digital electronics, power electronics, microcontroller-based board design, motor control, mechanical/electrical/electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.)
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in field conditions.
- Comfortable with technical documentation writing.
- Good command of English; Spanish is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license (Category B).
