Job Title: Operations Manager – Welding & Mechanics Solutions
Location: Chaponnay (France) - WWMSF
Role Summary:
The Operations Manager – Welding & Mechanics Solutions provides leadership for service delivery from the Chaponnay workshop and at operating nuclear power plants.
The role is accountable for establishing robust plans that ensure safe, flawless service execution, developing a strong talent pipeline, and delivering sustainable business results at both the Westinghouse Chaponnay facility and customer sites.
The position is based in Chaponnay, France, and reports to the ELA MP Site Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Establish standardized initiatives and actions that strengthen safety performance and service quality.
· Drive flawless execution by minimizing human error, maximizing equipment reliability, and meeting quality and schedule requirements.
· Capture operational feedback and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve intervention quality and equipment reliability.
· Support customers proactively by presenting Westinghouse capabilities and solutions and identifying new business opportunities.
· Position Westinghouse as the preferred customer partner through consistently high-perform-ing services.
· Monitor market demand, optimize crew utilization, and promote cross-utilization and collab-oration across the platform.
· Define and improve the operating model to strengthen financial performance and portfolio competitiveness.
· Develop resource, competency, and training plans aligned with business needs, while support-ing talent development and succession.
· Support proposal development and the pursuit of new business opportunities.
· Develop tools and methodologies that improve service preparation, visual management, and real-time production monitoring.
· Lead the standardization of processes and methodologies across teams.
Education and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification with relevant experience; a master’s degree in engineering, an MBA, or an advanced technical degree is preferred.
· Demonstrated experience in welding and machining operations.
· At least five years of leadership experience.
· At least five years of experience in workshop operations, field services, or a comparable oper-ational environment.
· Strong communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
· Professional fluency in written and spoken French and English.
