We are currently seeking a BWR Field Services Information Technology (IT) professional to work within our BWR Field Service group.  Based out of Chattanooga, TN at our BWR Center of Excellence, the Field Service IT professional will provide technical knowledge and support to assigned product line in development, maintenance, and delivery of projects for BWR nuclear reactors.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Your Day To Day:

• Provide innovative and practical repair and maintenance solutions that ensure high quality products in accordance with our customer expectations.
• Plan, monitor, repair, and operate network systems including hardware and software systems.
• Perform network configuration and monitoring of virtual machines, RAID storage devices, disaster recovery servers, COLOs, media converters, encoders, and other various devices.
• Manage and maintain software updates including anti-virus, malware, firewall management, MS SQL, VOIP, IP configurations, and other project specific software
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA’s) and rigor for associated network systems and devices.
• Support specific projects including planning, implementing and financial reporting to the business.
• Support specific field project delivery teams in operation and maintenance of systems at customer sites as well as maintenance facilities.
• Travel 40-60% of time to both domestic and international sites.

What you need to be successful in the role: 

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies: 

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field  0-10 years related experience.
• Knowledge of networking associated protocols – VPN configurations, Tunneling, Static IP addressing and DHCP
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database – creating, modifying, replicating, optimizing, and monitoring multiple databases
• Experience with remote machines / servers with Citrix server
• Experience with data retention routines of data backups including computer and services images.
• Experience with managing Active directories by creating user accounts with specific permissions.
• Demonstrated competencies in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Ability to work without management oversight, (self starter).
• Work in a team atmosphere and interface well with internal and external customers.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Unescorted Site Access including drug screening processes.
• Flexibility to work in dynamic work environment with changing issues and customer demands.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning
• Able to work in periodic high heat environments, able to lift 50+ lbs and work on feet for extended periods of time.
