Your Day-to-Day:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:  Operate all area equipment, monitor process control instruments and process sample results and troubleshoot equipment in one functional area.  Take corrective action to operate the various IFBA processes within established parameters and specifications as outlined by operating procedures, P.I.F.’s, S.O.I’s or as directed by supervisor. 

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:  Coater, Collator and Re-Dry Oven, Rod load, plenum gauge, tube and cleaner, spring insertion, plugger, girth and seal weld equipment, passive gamma scanner, rod weigh, side loader, personal computers, mechanics handtools, drumpumps, laser scanners, spot welders, bench lathe, band saws, electronic leak detectors, drying furnace, dissolvers, mop water system, acid strip system, blue M oxidation system, salt bath, OHM meter, drills, drill press, wire cutters, bead blaster, vacuum pump and scales. 

MATERIALS:  Natural and enriched pellets, ZrB2 targets, acetone, propanal, Hi-Vac grease, inconel screen, zirc tubing, plugs, springs, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, argon, helium, emory cloth, “brite-boy” cleaner, freon, lubricating oil, caustic soda, and salt bath solution. 

DIRECTION OF OTHERS:  Assist supervision with the training of B level operators. Assist and give direction to maintenance mechanics in the repair of area equipment. 

WORKING PROCEDURES:  The following are the usual major job duties but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent, nor the question being raised on the proper rate of pay for the assignment. 

* Knowledge and understanding of IFBA system processes.
* Maintain equipment and leave work area in a clean and orderly condition. 
* Adhere to accountability, criticality, safety, security, and hygiene procedures. 
* Perform traceability function as required.


Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

* High School Graduate or Equivalent
* Must be Available to work all Shifts including 2nd and 3rd
* Strong Safety Attitude Required; must pass Safety Assessment

* Strong Qaulity Attitude Required.

* Ability to closely follow Procedures Required.   
* Must pass stringent background drug screen and medical
* Must be able to stand, sit, push, pull, kneel, bend and lift 35 lbs

Entry level Personal Computer operations course or equivalent experience.

*  Minimum one (1) year experience in chemical and/or rod manufacturing
