Lead Process Analyst


This role is on-site at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility located in Hopkins, SC reporting to the Product Assurance Engineering group.  This role has primary process responsibility for input of supplied items into the receiving inspection and manufacturing workflows.


You Day to Day:

  • Verifying that internal work scopes by Westinghouse Engineering, Product Lines, and Manufacturing organizations meet the Westinghouse Procedures, Codes and Standards, and Customer requirements.
  • Perform supplier documentation reviews and execute commercial dedication instructions.
  • Identify issues and recommend solutions with inspection procedures, processes and tooling.
  • Reviewing and approving procedures, drawings, Project Plans, Project Quality Plans, and other project and Quality-related documents.
  • Performing internal assessments of the Westinghouse processes to ensure compliance.
  • Supporting internal and external audits.
  • Interface with customer oversight regarding the receiving and inspection processes and outputs.
  • Verifying that all work performed at Westinghouse locations is according to design requirements, Codes and Standards, and project contract agreements.
  • Performing and documenting Quality surveillance oversight of the Westinghouse work scopes for internal manufacturing and supplier scope.
  • Performing assigned Witness/Hold/Review points as identified in Inspection and Test Plans or Quality plans as required.
  • Ensuring that any deficiencies and nonconformances related to materials, workmanship, and processes are identified, documented, followed through and have acceptable disposition.
  • Performing and/or oversee in-process welding, machining, NDT, and other inspection processes.
  • Performing pre-shipment reviews and accepting the product at Westinghouse facilities.
  • Initiating “Stop Work” when necessary to ensure compliance to procedures, processes, and Codes.
  • Providing Quality Program and Process Indoctrination to inspectors


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Knowledge and practical experience working with nuclear QA codes and standards (e. g. N299, ASME Section III Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code).
    • Minimum 2 years Inspection Experience in a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Inspector
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing quality assurance preferred
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical requirements and regulatory compliance information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams
  • Preferred experience with commercial dedication
  • Preferred experience interfacing with regulators and internal technical groups.
