Lead US Supplier Perfrormance Engineer

Location: Columbia, SC


Your Day to Day:

  • Management of US SPE personnel, operations, active projects, KPIs
  • Interfacing with and managing relations with internal/external customers
  • Effectiveness of US SPE organization to de-risk external supply
  • Leading by example; personal, industrial, and nuclear safety principals
  • Supporting SPEs through regular touchpoints, direction, and coaching
  • Completion of quarterly & annual performance journals and discussions
  • Annual input to Global SPE Manager for merit decisions and calibration
  • Managing personnel morale by resolving concerns and reinforcing wins
  • Effective division of SPE responsibilities and delegation of work activities
  • Driving effective completion of risk-based oversight planning and reporting
  • Leading significant events and enabling SPEs to focus on detailed tasks
  • Interfacing with stakeholders to address concerns and promote successes
  • Leading touch points and supplier performance review with US sites
  • Presenting corrective actions and improvements to external customers
  • Management for KPIs for US team, e.g., Training, CAPs, Score Card, etc.
  • Providing technical and decision-making support to SPE team members
  • Support Global SPE Manager to define and maintain roles/ responsibilities
  • Resolving project delays and issues, and escalation as needed
  • Ensuring establishment and regular reporting on US SPE project schedules
  • Input to regular business reporting and KPIs for US projects and suppliers


Requirements to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering or Business Administration (BA)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or operations
  • Foundational knowledge in manufacturing processes and technology
  • Stakeholder identification and relationship management
  • Ability to identify key project tasks, develop schedules, manage spend
  • Experience leading multiple, concurrent cross functional projects
  • Personnel management and resourcing estimation desired
  • Project Management experience desired
  • Experience with nuclear products and standards desired
  • Effective communication with different disciplines and functions
  • Strong personnel and conflict resolution skills
  • Proactive approach to work / risk management
  • Results oriented and self-driven
  • Questioning attitude and continual interest to learn and develop
  • Effective decision maker – timely and using data, facts, input, etc.
