 Area Learning and Development Coordinator - I

Assume the lead responsibility for and direct the coordination/development of a wide variety of routine and non-routine technical training programs through various mediums.  Ensure training programs align to current procedures. Support management in the development of individual training plans based on department training matrices.

Your Day to Day:

  • Coordinate the development and maintain process specific training modules for all areas of the department by collaborating with area process engineers. Develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks.  
  • Lead the development and maintenance of individual training plans and schedules for all department employees (inspectors, operators, and chiefs). Assist in coordination of necessary cross training.  
  • Act as lead OJT trainer for the area and mentor/coach for all area On-the-Job trainers (OJT).  
  • Monitor ETAPS training database for proper alignment of Area Departments, Procedures, Forms and ECL’s with area training progression program.  Establish, update, and monitor training metrics across the department.  Provide feedback to program participants and management
  • Monitor the development and maintenance of scripts for process demo’s and ECL’s and partner in evaluations with Area Engineers and Chiefs.
  • Maintain the Area Process Training Module database with alignment to Area Departments and area training progression program.  Ensure modules are up to date and accurate.
  • Schedule procedure in hand reviews for Procedure Use and Adherence.   Look for opportunities to update procedures, regarding Environmental, Health and Safety along with efficiency and clarity.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate of Arts in Science or Bachelor of Science related field (Education/Training), preferred
  • 3 Years in manufacturing
  • Experience with various training methods (OJT, Mentoring, E-Learning, Classroom), preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Able to lead small project and communicate across multiple shifts and areas. 
  • Presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Planning and Organizing, Problem Analysis and Problem Solving.  Mechanical aptitude.
