Your Day-to-Day:
*1. Develop, recommend and implement Business Unit Quality policies and systems in accordance with customer requirements, applicable standards, and regulations.

*2. Direct assessments of operations and identify opportunities for performance improvement through internal quality assessments, environmental/health & safety reviews, total quality reviews, etc. Recommend and influence operations to take appropriate corrective actions, successfully resolve significant quality issues and implement performance improvement. Integrate assessment results into Business Unit Quality policies and systems.

*3. Lead, co-ordinate and integrate complex projects which encompass multi-functional areas. Monitor progress and direct teams to successfully achieve established budgetary and schedule constraints.

*4. Review design engineering documentation to verify compliance with technical QA requirements for design, manufacture, and inspection of nuclear power plant components

*5. Identify deviations that could create safety/environmental hazards or cause malfunctions. Work as team member with cognizant personnel to identify, implement and monitor corrective actions.

*6. Work with supply chain to identify and address issues with supplier performance to assure best cost/value for procured products and services through audit reports, surveillances, commercial grade surveys, supplier partnerships, etc.

*7. Streamline processes and data collection through development of automated systems to improve productivity and ensure customer satisfaction.

*8. Communicate changes in Quality policies and systems. Develop and conduct educational and training programs.

*9.  Provide appropriate personnel with periodic updates and recommendations regarding nature and status of work.

*10. Develop, mentor and enable the success of product assurance technicians and inspectors.


Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

* Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

* Typically, 8+ years of professional experience

* In-depth knowledge of national consensus standards of quality, such as, ASME B&PV Code, ISO, Six Sigma, ANSI/ASME NQA1, Supplements and Appendices, IEEE Standards and U.S. NRC Regulatory Guide series.

* Must have demonstrated quality or engineering experience in a nuclear, or other highly regulated industry

* Must have demonstrated experience achieving results by leading projects to address and prevent quality issues
